speaking of Books, Manuals page
Hi Friends, During discussion about placement Key and Mouse Ref page, I was looking at the Books and Manuals page, and realized that it doesn't follow the style on some other pages. I mean the h3 heading sections, where on other pages, such as Learn, the heading is a link. Should it be so on Books and Manuals? If yes, I can do it. Also, should "Manuals and quick references" be split into "Manuals" and "References"? If so, I can do it :-)
All best, brynn
Hi Brynn,
what would you want to link to from the headings? There's no single book, reference or manual that could be linked to from them... what was your plan?
Splitting up manuals and references would be okay for me, although I wouldn't think that's strictly necessary. There are only four items under the common heading anyway. Not enough to make it difficult to get a quick overview for a site visitor ;) Still, go ahead if you feel it will help readability. You seem to have a good sense for that.
Regards, Maren

Hi "Inkscape, A Guide to a Vector Drawing Program, 4th Edition" would link to http://tavmjong.free.fr/INKSCAPE/MANUAL/html/index.php
"FLOSS Manuals: Inkscape" would link to http://en.flossmanuals.net/inkscape
And etc. For those 2 above, there are other links in each section, but your argument to me for making the heading into a link, was convenience. So I was just thinking it would make it more convenient. It's not going to prevent anyone from clicking the other links, if they want to. But most people will be going for the main manual, in both cases. For all the rest, there is only 1 link in each.
