Yes my friend this is true, but the more information in Portuguese we have, better, in any way my priority will be the official documentation.
I want to translate this because the author assured me that the work remain free on its site, only because of the English version already be available for access already is great, then if he took the trouble to provide this, I think that I can give the job to help with the translation into Portuguese, regardless of it making a profit on it or not, my anarchist spirit still think that knowledge should be free ( even if we have to release him ;] )

se liga, como a elisa falou (ela é francesa mas fala português).. tem um livro desse ae que não é livre.. então sugiro você traduzir somente o que for livre.. eu acredito que seja o User Manual: http://wiki.inkscape.org/wiki/index.php/UserManual
pois somente tem colaboradores do projeto aprontando ele..
não sei se o da FLOSS que tem copyright.. enfim,
contribuir para algo 'fechado' é esparro na minha opnião.. alguem pode ganhar grana com seu trabalho, isso é ruim.

Hoje recebi o Guide to a Vector Drawing Program -- DRAFT para tradução,
vou
começar a trabalhar nele e quando estiver liberado a parte do Inkscape, então, vou intercalar as atividades.

Gente eu tenho a dupla nacionalidade! No tenho um pigo de sangue francês, mais tenho a cultura claro. A dupla tambem (francesa e brasileira).
