Link editor has always been very slow for me, not just right now. But like I said, its no big deal for me, download links themselves don't need translation anyway since they just read the file extension, so its quite ok.
Thanks for the feedback :)

Yeah thanks for the feedback, I generally double click them too for editing, though this time I got carried away by seeing them displaying correctly and forgot about it. Only when switching between source view and styled view I noticed they never committed.
Just curious because the link editor is also very slow and takes a lot of time to load, making it cumbersome to edit lots of links that way. It's really no big deal, just curious if it was something wrong on my end or if it affected all translators.
- I understand :-( It's extremely slow at the moment, I'm currently
waiting for it to load... Probably due to the surge in logged-in visitors for the About Screen Contest.
It's okay to use normal links for the download pages. Don't invest too much time into that set of pages, as their days are already numbered (they'll be replaced by the releases app soon).
Kind Regards, Maren

Everything seems to be in order now, many thanks for the help, and promptly saving my translation before reverting:-). I actually did the same locally before cancelling, due to lost work before. One learns from its own mistakes. I also gave some feedback over at the bug report as requested.
- Thank you, Duarte.
One other unrelated thing thing that came to my attention now. Whenever translating to Portuguese, internal Inkscape.org links never show as plain text in CKEditor; at least until edited or translated, a small globe icon shows up instead of link text. It as always been so for Portuguese, but I noticed that in the English Page they show up directly as text from the star. Is this a limitation of the current system or a bug?
I'm not even sure what is better anymore, because directly displaying the text is misleading, because in-place editing doesn't actually work and committed changes, despite correctly displaying in editor, are discarded leading to data loss. Having the globe icon there at least prevents that though not seeing the text immediately is also hindering for translations.
What do you guys think?
- It's one of those small bugs I've stopped wondering about... - so I do
it like Sylvain, just double-click on any kind of link, and then it'll work. I think there might even be a report for it somewhere in inkscape-web, but I think the problem is more with ckeditor or the specific plugin.
Kind Regards, Maren
Again, thanks for the help, Maren.

Hey never noticed all those options in the menu before, but unfortunately it's not working for me from that the menu either.
I mistakenly started translating in the English page, luckily o noticed on time and didn't publish it. I didn't revert to published either for fear of triggering that dreaded bug that broke the front-page.
- I'm hoping 'revert to live' is safe to use - will do it now. It
did :)
I tried copying and pasting the source to PT, but the links plugins don't work that way, so I was trying to start over by copying from English again but I get another error "undefined | 403 not found" from the menu.
- Mhm. I didn't even get an error message when it didn't work...
It does work for me from the menu (didn't try structure mode copying now).
Can you add your info to the bug report? It's this one: https://bugs.launchpad.net/inkscape-web/+bug/1641781
Sorry for the mess
- Things like these happened to all of us (at least they did to me),
and the website bugs don't help... And it's totally fixable (at least until you publish an erroneous translation). No worries :) The plugins are copied back to pt, and I've attached a plugin-free version of your translation to this email, so you can copy from it.
Kind Regards, Maren
