I remember there was a problem with the man page I translated to
Slovak - characters in UTF8 weren't displayed properly. I remember
there was a French translation, too, but don't remember if accented
characters displayed properly - or if it used iso-8859-1 as opposed to
utf-8.
Initial PO support for the man files (via pod files) committed in inkscape-docs,
revision 431.
Now I have to investigate the characters issue with make. Apparently, using
"pod2man --utf8" with the generated pod files gives a perfect result (only
tested with the French translation).
