Untranslated strings in Russian translation of Inkscape (and updating shortcut on Linux)
Hello! When Inkscape language is set in Russian, there is untranslatable strings in Preferences -> Tools -> Shapes> Pencil: "Base simplify" and "on dynamic LPE simplify". P.S. I've added point "Comment[ru]=" for translating the comment in shortcut /usr/share/applications/inkscape.desktop. It's enclosed, please, merge it.

Actually, these strings are not untranslatable, just not _translated_ in Russian. Ex.

The strings are shown translated in Ukrainian (complete translation) here.
Thus, it is up to Russian translators to do their job. ;)

It is a common practice to have bug reports for such things (it is useful to see what branches have this fix and what else need to be fixed). Can you file the corresponding report here:
