Dear translators,
The website has an upgraded team list, it can now show a title or role for a member of a team. To show what this could look like for the translators team I've added three examples:
https://inkscape.org/en/*translator
If this is interesting or useful for the translators team, please let me know. More information about membership is always possible in future updates.
Also note that now leaving or expiring from a team will result in you being listed under the Previous team members list, so your contribution won't be forgotten if you choose to stop helping with translations.
Best Regards, Martin Owens

If this is interesting or useful for the translators team, please let me know. More information about membership is always possible in future updates.
- Please let me know if it's going to stay, because then I'd like to add the languages to the respective members (to those where I know, there are a couple of inactive members who I've never met), if they want it.
Also note that now leaving or expiring from a team will result in you being listed under the Previous team members list, so your contribution won't be forgotten if you choose to stop helping with translations.
- They will persist in the cms contributors list, too.
Btw., it seems that join requests were lost on update.
(but as the user with a pending join request hasn't answered my message for some weeks, it's probably not an issue for the translators team. Don't know about the importance for other teams, I think there were a couple of pending requests.)

The feature has to stay, bryce likes it for the board and it's got it's uses elsewhere.

Yes, there wasn't too many and we're planning on pushing more for contributors, so hopefully people will rejoin and we can reach other to them again.

Hey all,
Hope you’re all well.
Really nice to see some changes on the website =).
I haven’t been able to do as much as I wanted of late due to work overload, but you can still count on me. In that, I’ve missed enough a lot in the past couple of weeks, so I will try to slowly work through the translations. Though, considering that I am still catching up, Maren could you please let me know what the top priority would be?
Have a lovely day/afternoon/eve, depending on where you are ;)
Kind regards, Mariana

Hi Mariana,
hope you're well, too, despite all that work!
Thanks for asking :) Top priority would be the news article about the new version:
currently: https://inkscape.org/pt-br/news/2017/08/07/inkscape-0-92-2-release-announcem...
and second would be the new FAQ item.
Release notes (long and detailed), privacy policy (long), hackfest news (long), and download descriptions (uncomfortable to edit, lots of clicks, and some chance of messing up) would be lower in priority.
Have a great weekend, Kind Regards, Maren

- Okay, thanks, Martin!
@Martin: Could you have a look, I think the font size is too big for longer words - like "Português Brasileiro"?
So, I've added these languages/banners now for our main active contributors:
Duarte: Português Mariana: Português Brasileiro Roberto: Português Brasileiro Firas: Italiano Stéphane: Français
(Sylvain, Jabier and I already had banners, added by Martin)
Let me know if you'd like me to make any changes!
As for the inactive members: ----------------------------
Victor (Português Brasileiro) and Stefan (Polish) have joined the team not so long ago, but haven't had a go at translating yet, as far as I know - please correct me if I'm wrong.
@Victor and @Stefan, do you need any help in getting set up? Are you still interested in helping with website translations?
I've also added language banners for:
Egor: Русский Alain: Français sujiniku: 日本語 Abdelhak: العربيّة Min Zhang: 简体中文 Diego Loiola: Português Brasileiro
@Egor, @Alain, @sujiniku, @Abdelhak, @Min - we haven't heard from you for a long time :) There's a lot of new contents on the website since your last visit. We'd be glad to see you around again!
I don't know which languages the following members translated to, they were part of the team before I joined, and I can't remember ever having met them: Vinícius dos Santos Oliveira Marce Luna jHD Ivan Masar
If you read this, @Vinícius, @Marce(l?), @jHD and @Ivan, please let me know!
For the inactive members, I'm have set an expiry from the active team membership of 4 months from now (November 18th, 2018). You will still be listed on the team page after expiration of your membership, under 'Previous Members'.
However, of course, I'm hoping to hear from you soon, and I'll be more than glad to remove the expiration timer :) !
Also, of course, you can re-join the active team any time, so if you decide to come back later than November, you're very welcome, too!
Please also let me know if I have forgotten anyone - I hope not, but it may happen! Some people may have worked on website translations, but never have joined the team. This can be fixed ;-)
Thanks everyone!

There’s also a small quirk: when I pass the mouse pointer on the bottom half of the banners, they blink. This should probably be fixed. Also, I don’t understand why the banners disappear when the user is hovered.

Maren - There isn't an expiratory date, there's an expired date. If the date is set at all, the user is expired. The date only documents when it happened.
Sylvain - That's just a style thing, without blinking off on hover, the functions wouldn't be visible. Such as leave team / remove user (for admins) but it could be improved.

@Martin: mmh, seems there's something wrong - everyone with an expiry date set to November 18th 2017 is already listed under 'Previous Team Members'. Can you look into that?

- Please let me know if it's going to stay, because then I'd like to add
the languages to the respective members (to those where I know, there are a couple of inactive members who I've never met), if they want it.
The feature has to stay, bryce likes it for the board and it's got it's uses elsewhere.
As for the inactive members:
Kind Regards, Maren
Btw., it seems that join requests were lost on update.
(but as the user with a pending join request hasn't answered my message for some weeks, it's probably not an issue for the translators team. Don't know about the importance for other teams, I think there were a couple of pending requests.)
Yes, there wasn't too many and we're planning on pushing more for contributors, so hopefully people will rejoin and we can reach other to them again.
Best Regards, Martin Owens

Sylvain - That's just a style thing, without blinking off on hover, the functions wouldn't be visible. Such as leave team / remove user (for admins) but it could be improved.
OK, I see, thanks. I’ve committed a fix. -- Sylvain

From my memory:
* jazzynico/Nicolas Dufour (he was the translator for French when I joined, his last translation work was for Inkscape 0.92; he’s got two user accounts in the Website Editors’ Team); * Alexander Prokoudine (not fully sure he’s a translator but I think he’s on this list and talks as if he were a translator); * Eduard Braun (looks like he makes some translations with you, Maren).
Regards, -- Sylvain
Thank you, Sylvain! Indeed, you're right, Eduard fixed my FAQ translation :) I'm not sure about Alex, either, I only know for sure he contributed English contents - but he can tell us himself, if he would like to :)
@Eduard, Alex and Nicolas: If you would you like to join the website translators team (even as 'inactive' contributor, if you prefer, just let me know), please make a join request at
