Self introduction "sujiniku"
Hello, I am a sujiniku. "sujiniku" is a my handle name, not real name.
I want to translate the inkscape web page to Japanese Page. Therefore I want to join the translator team.
I am Japanese person, and I'm Japanese native speaker, and I live in Japan. Therefore I can write Japanese language, and can read and speak too.
I think that I can translate the inkscape web page to Japanese language.
Hi sujiniku,
welcome!
The Japanese translations of the Inkscape website could definitely need some help - there is no other Japanese translator active at the moment.
If this is the first time you are working with django-cms, it's very important that you read the instructions at http://wiki.inkscape.org/wiki/index.php/WebSite carefully.
We do not have a playground website at the moment, so even your first steps will be impacting the real website, and there are a few pitfalls, unfortunately.
If you are technically inclined, you can also set up a local instance of our website on your computer (needs Linux) to see how it works and to try things out at your own pace.
For an easy start, I'd suggest you first go with the .po file translation (instructions at http://wiki.inkscape.org/wiki/index.php/WebSite#Translating_other_parts_of_t...), after that with the news translation, for learning how to use the editor, and then with the website page contents.
I encourage you to ask whenever something is unclear, or when you encounter difficulties, either with the tools, or with the meaning of the English contents. We're here to help :)
Do you have any questions?
Kind regards, Maren

Yeah, welcome!

You can practice on the sandbox page: https://inkscape.org/en/sandbox/

However, this is less interactive than translating the website…

It is the Inkscape *web site* (or website), not web page. There are several pages on the site.
Thanks in advance for your contributions. -- Sylvain (translator for French)
Thank the reply. Thank Chiron! and Thank everone!

I am one of the linux user, and I now using Fedora linux. and I have used Ubuntu linux at past. So I know how to use linux a little.
But I'm not a programmer,so I cannot read and write the source code. But I can translate to language (= natural language , not machine languages), I can translation English to Japanese.
And I know how to use PO-file and PO-editor a little.
And I am one of the Japanese Wikipedia and Wikibook editors , and I am one of the Wikimedia's user (Wikimedia is Wiki's media uploader ,for example uploading the illustraiton - including the*/SVG/* illustration ), so I have already post some SVG illustration to Wikimedia, so I know how to use inkscape such as one of the inkscape's users.
Do you wonder why sujiniku wants to translate the inkscape web page. Because while my browsing the website of Inkscape, some part of the Japanese version is untranslated , For example , Japanese version of the download page is many English.
https://inkscape.org/ja/download/
SoI want to translatethe untranslated sentences to Japanese.
You can practice on the sandbox page: https://inkscape.org/en/sandbox/
Thanks to your kindnessof introduce. But, sorry, I have not editing-rights yet, therefore I can not try the test at sandbox. But I have the some analogy a little, because I have used the Wikipedia, for example, Inkscape website's "Heading 1"is probably got to correspond to theWikipedia's "Header 1" ?
