[Inkscape-user] Problem with gradients

Hi all, I'm learning to use Inkscape, and have found my first 'real' problem. I made something with inkscape that has a color gradient in it, but when I save it as eps or pdf file, the gradient is not present and I see only a full color.

I searched the net for posts and documentation, but I could only find a note on inkscape 0.42 saying that it supports eps gradients. I have 0.43, so where's the problem?
