Bulia I'm a little mystified why is clip supierior to intersect. Does this keep the clone interactively linked to the orginal drawing?

Second question is probably an easy fix. You need to set some kind of
fill
for you line.
The first question has several posibilities. The easiest m ight be to
make
a duplicate or clone of your drawing, put a rectangle around the area you want, use the intersection opereration from the boolean list,
best, use clone, and clip it (not intersect)
