[Inkscape-user] how to delete all the guides at once?

Hello,

I have a problem with several guide lines which I want to remove but doing it manually is a tedious work. Is it possible to do it at once? XML editor doesn't help here since I can only select one guideline under <solidpodi:namedview id="base"> node. I thought to open the xml file in an external editor and then remove the guides while the file is open in inkscape. But then how to update the canvas and is it safe to change an xml file from outside while it is loaded in inkscape?
