I've been using Inkscape on Kubuntu for several years. Most of my previous applications have been minor things such as business cards, posters and photo collections.
Recently, I've started working on some cardstock scale modeling projects. These involve lots of pattern files from photographs. Just the last few days, I've had to restart Inkscape dozens of times. It crashes when I have an irregular shape with a pattern fill and try to move nodes. The second or third node I move causes the program to report an error and then crash. I've found a few work arounds so I can complete my project, but it has been a pain.
Here's my current setup.
- AMD processor, Asus MB, 4Gb RAM, 1.5Tb HD, NVIDIA (onboard MB), 24" LCD monitor. - Kubuntu 10.04 with all current patches. - Inkscape vs 0.47
