[Inkscape-user] Fill question

Hey folks,

I am trying to apply a fill (of a grey color). But the problem is, I used the bezier tool to create the shape (and then I grouped everything). So, when I go and apply a color to the 'inside' of the arch piece at the top ... ...see www.cpcconstruction.net/1/index.html (the shape I'm refering to is the only one w/a criss cross looking grey fill). I'd like to fill only the 'inside' portion of that shape.

Its all wrong. Is there a way to turn a shape I created using the bezier tool into a solid item so I can fill it normally? Or, is there a way to apply the bezier tool to say a square shape to make it look the way I want it to look? Thanks a million.
