
No, I'm sorry for suggesting so, there are no "bold" issues in Windows, but A) not all the fonts are displayed either, and as I remember, that also was a font-file-format issue that could be solved by converting fonts from one format to the other B) I'd still like to create some fonts myself, preferably using the inkscape SVG I have. But that would just be a bonus.

Does the same bolding issue occur on windows? I thought that windows fonts were TTF, which pango should handle fine. If the problem occurs there also, it means that it is not tied to the dfont format OS X uses and changes things quite a bit.
