Hi all!
I posted an answer to Mikaels question 3 days ago but from the wrong email account. Since the error messages for this mailing list are disabled I was not aware of that and never bothered to check if the message made it onto the list.
This is a really frustrating experience (this happened to me once or twice now) and it would be great if posting errors could be reenabled.

You can draw the triangles exactly overlapping by using some helping lines and the snapping function (http://tavmjong.free.fr/INKSCAPE/MANUAL/html/Snapping.html).
I really recommend http://inkscape.org/doc/basic/tutorial-basic.html for starters.

Using the Paint Bucket Tool doesn't work well since it doesn't handle the sharp corners correctly, I get something like the attached SharpCorner.png (after removing the stroke of the created paths), when zooming in as much as possible.
I think that the problem is that the Paint Bucket Tool is bitmap based. I would rather need a vector based fill tool. Is there any such possibility in Inkscape?
