[Inkscape-user] Can't move objects horizontally

Hello guys! I just found this excellent piece of software from SourceForge and I really love it! Thanks.

But I am experiencing one small problem: I can only move object vertically with the mouse cursor but cannot move it horizontally. I can move it both ways using the arrow keys on the keyboard without problem, though.

What could be the problem? FYI, I have builts inkscape from source through Gentoo's portage.
