Or you could uninstall whatever version you have and then download the autopackage install and use that. It's what I always do, and it has worked on Slackware, Centos, Fedora Core, Mepis, and Xubuntu.

i use suse and ubuntu. the install process is the same for both. uninstall the version that you have first. then download the .package file. you'll have to change the file to executable by
right-clicking and selecting properties. it will install and add to your menus.
also, you can grab the rpm from guru's repo (http://ftp.gwdg.de/pub/linux/misc/suser-guru/rpm/10.2/RPMS/i686/) for suse 10.2
