Thanks Maren.
But no, it doesn't have the same result at all. I want to select multiple mesh nodes, and give them all the same color. I can use the palette, and that's what we'll have to use.
- Or Fill and Stroke dialog, I think. Or, silly way: draw a shape of the color you want below the nodes, then use the dropper icon, after selecting the nodes (or not, if you have the color you want below every node). Could be handy if you want to assign a couple of colors at once to a couple of nodes at once.
As for the feature request, you should probably rather ask on the devel mailing list, if it's possible to make the dropper tool work that way.
It's just to me, it seems intuitive to be able to select multiple mesh nodes, and use the Dropper tool to pick a color from a raster image.
- I think here I don't understand, maybe it's my English. Isn't that what the button does? Sorry...
Hhm, it seems both the wiki and website are offline at the moment. I'll have to look it up later. Should I make a post on the Docs list about the sites being down, or can you investigate from here?
- I got a couple of emails recently about something happening with the server infrastructure on OSUOSL, so I wasn't surprised that the site was offline. If it's still offline in a couple of hours, Martin may need to investigate. I can't do anything about this.
Regards, Maren
Thanks, brynn

Hi Brynn,
there's a button for this in the mesh tool's toolbar, it looks like the dropper tool and takes the color from under the selected nodes.
I know this isn't the same as the feature you're requesting, but it's an option.
See also the description of the tool in the Wiki: http://wiki.inkscape.org/wiki/index.php/Mesh_Gradients
Kind Regards, Maren

Hi Friends, Just playing with the new gradient mesh tool, to give feedback from a newbie (as opposed to professional or artist). Windows 7 Pro 64-bit, Inkscape 0.92pre3. After selecting multiple mesh nodes, I switch to the Dropper tool, so I can grab a color from an imported raster image. But as soon as I switch tools, only the last mesh node that was selected is still highlighted. So I can't color multiple mesh nodes at once, using Dropper tool. However, if I use just the palette to change the colors, that works as expected, to color multiple nodes at once. Should I make a bug report for this?
Thanks, brynn
