So perhaps that's not the feature I want. Maybe the feature I want is an easy way to swap the fill style with the stroke style.
In SVN, you right-click the selected style indicator and choose "Swap fill and stroke".
Wonderful. I suppose I'll just have to wait for that change to percolate through to release.
