[Inkscape-user] Image Filter effect disappearing in pdf export

Hi all, I noticed that when I apply a filter to an image embedded in a svg file (e.g. filter > image effect > blueprint) and subsequently export the document to pdf (file > save a copy > pdf) the filter effect that was visible in the svg disappears in the resulting pdf. Is this a normal/intended behaviour? Is there a way to "permanently apply" a filter effect to an image? Peter -- Inkscape 0.48, Windows 7 Meier und Partner AG, Switzerland, www.meierpartner.ch
