[Inkscape-user] Layout of "Open File" window

Hi,

Is it possible to change the lay-out of the "Open File" Window on a computer running Windows 2000/XP ? With inkscape 0.39 that window is the standard "Open File" window used in other applications (Desktop, My Computer, My network places etc).

With recent versions, the layout changed to a custom window (Personal, Desktop, Drive-letters) which loads much slower when selecting a directory containing 2000 SVG's (probably related to the preview-window). That window also doesn't show the network places: they need to me mapped to a drive letter before they appear in the list.

Can the lay-out of that window be changed (some gtk-setting ?) or is that impossible ?

Any help would be appreciated !
