I was drawing some woodworking plans using an isometric grid, and wanted a way to transform an object drawn in 2D to the top, left-hand side, or right-hand side of an isometric projection. Learned a bit about affine transformations along the way too.
The utility methods in simpletransform.py where really useful! Thanks for providing these.
