When I try to print objects with alpha values <255, they print as if alpha was 255. If I export them to pdf and then convert them to postscript using pdf2ps, they seem to print with the intended alpha value. I don't know if this is a printer driver problem or what. Clearly inkscape is exporting alpha information that can be used to print correctly (or else it wouldn't print correctly after converting to postscript). However, it's inconvenient to not be able to print directly from inkscape. Does anybody know what might be going on or how I can work around it in inkscape?
