Thar Renesis player is great because is makes my SVG files display as thumbnails in XP! That makes my life already much easier. But, the browser does not scale images on demand. Clumsy if you design icons at 32x32 pixels.
So far in all your suggestions, I still haven't found a functionality where I can, -indeed-, just open a svg file and click on a arrow to see the next one in the directory.
It's good that all these options for viewing SVG's end up in single threat now.
Thanks!
Maarten

I use inkview as my default program that opens SVG, if i want to edit, i just run with Inkscape...
i have also found another viewer that has the windows shell thumbnails implemented quite well... it is called the RENESIS PLAYER: ( http://www.examotion.com/ ) and it works really well for me under Vista Business...
However, it would be *nice* to have the thumbnail stuff implemented with inkscape, does anyone know where to start in writing a windows shell extention to get custom thumbnails working?
cheers,

Dear People,
Thanks for all your answers so far. This is what I found out:
Adobe SVG Viewer works indeed, but only as a plugin in IE Batik (Squiggle) works very nicely, but the pciture disapears when I try to zoom in on it and I can't seem to pan. Neither is there a functionality to just jump to the next image. The Batik-slideshow doesn't start when I double-click. I must be missing something very obvious. Inkview: nothing happens when I double click it... :(
All thanks for your help so far!
Maarten

hm - I am surprised that people aren't aware of Batik and Opera.
Those two are the most complete SVG implementations. And both work on all platforms. Batik requires a JRE, but this is usually installed on PCs anyway.
For larger files you need to assing more memory to Batik. I found that with every new JRE released from Sun, Batik runs better/faster.
There is also Webkit, which comes with an SVG viewer, but it doesn't implement animation and SVG fonts. Depending on what you need, Safari might work as well.

Dear People,
Is there a good working SVG-Viewer for Windows? Firefox works, but is a bit clumpsy. Inkscape works, ofcourse, but is too heavy. Adobe SVG viewer simply does not work. I'd like something like the windows Fax and Picture viewer but then for SVG.
Regards,
Maarten
