[Inkscape-user] Text Background Color

Hello,

I am wanting to create highlighted text (i.e. have a background color). I've read that the SVG standard does not support this, so I was wondering if there were any work arounds possible like creating a rectangle that just matches the bounding box of the text or something like that?

I'd like for this to be a dynamic solution (i.e. if I change the text I don't have to manually change the rectangle, too).

Does anyone know how to do this?
