But that must be some effect of the recording. In Inkscape, the icon is there constantly, and flickering fast. Thanks Alvin, The yellow circle is part of Screencast-O-Matic. It's just a video capture that's easy for newbies. I don't see the yellow circle in Inkscape. I made the cursor larger by Control Panel > Mouse > Pointers > Scheme > Windows Standard (extra large). There are several options there for changing the pointers. I used the same thing in Windows 7 Home, and didn't see it there. So at least to me, it seems odd that it's happening in Windows 7 Pro. That's what made me think it might be related to 0.92pre3. I was about to try putting the pointers back to normal size. But now the problem doesn't seem to be happening anymore! I guess all I can do is watch for it happening again. I can't think of anything I was doing differently when I saw it before. I'll post again if I happens again. I get a yellow circle as part of the cursor if I use the tweak tool, but then it goes away if I switch to the node tool. Have you tried using the normal default cursor without the yellow circle to see if that makes a difference?
