Bulleted lists in Inkscape? Hanging indents?
I want to create a bulleted list in an Inkscape document, along the lines of
* the quick brown fox jumped over the lazy dog
* lazy dog quick jumped over
* the quick brown fox jumped over the lazy dog
If I have to insert the bullet symbols by hand, that's OK (though not ideal) but is there any way to get the hanging indent on the paragraphs? (In case the layout of this post gets messed up, the list items items should just like the standard bulleted lists on an HTML page.)
Thanks, Niall

You might want to use a more suitable program, such as Scribus or TeX, and import the Inkscape items as graphics.
You can even do this in HTML.
There are horses for courses, as my father used to say. A bullet list doesn't sound like Inkscape territory.

Why not? I find inkscape incredibly useful to prepare presentation slides. Thus a bullet list would come in very handy. This is a me too!
As to a solution (untested): Create text flow blocks for each paragraph in the bullet point list, the right number of bullet points and then use the alignment tool.
Thanks, Marc

OK reverse my solution. Do the text preparation in something more text-friendly and import the text into Inkscape as a graphic. But if I faced this problem personally I would do the whole thing in a more text-friendly program. Hanging indents on bullet lists are pretty automatic in typesetting programs. And slide presentations are not that challenging IMO.
