Hi to all.
I just propose for merge a branch to improve measure tool. I made a video to show it working. Think is not a bad idea to get reviewers :)

By the way, all the best. Jabiertxo.
Jabier, this is impressive :) That single black line is a normal object, too, which will stay when leaving measure tool mode, right?
Regards, Maren

Thanks for the feedbak Maren.
Yes is a normal object. Realy is a line with a start and a end marker, the font size is configurable in the tool itself, so the use is: Try whith offsets and font size to fit your drawing, next you can draw measures, remember you can reposition the measure and also snap to poin ts.

Excellent work! I use bar end-points in the line properties all the time to show the width and height of packages, cards, and convention booth panels for commercial printers. It would be amazing to be able to choose the line style.

Thanks!
The line style for "CAD" is a 1px line with markers. you only can customize by the tool the distance to original by the offset parameter and the size of the text. Maybe can add to the todo list use the last line type and markers used in the pen/pencil tool, ¿are you sure is a good idea?
Any way the best approach I think is: On convert to CAD line the generated line become selected, sou you can apply a clipboard style with a click. And you can use your own lines and markers to it
Big markers -by the marker or by the stroke width- go outside the limit anyway.
Cheers, Jabier.

I think it would offer the most flexibility with the least amount of work and offer a way for people to choose marker types, though truly it's not that much work to copy and paste a line style to all the markers at once, so... it's up to you. A 1px line at 300 dpi would be nearly invisible in print, though so... there are advantages to handling it either way. However the problem arises, what if the line is white, or transparent, or the width is 0? Then it will look like nothing is happening, I assume. Maybe it's better to leave as is for now.

This is true, though the line is printed as a reference only, so it doesn't make much of a difference. You would not set them very thick, but just thick enough to see on the printed product for reference.
I can see there are many potential problems with using the last line width/colour/endpoints. Maybe you can think of a way to do it best, but honestly, I love where the ruler is going, even as you have it currently. :)

Hi, thanks for the feedback, finaly the option I select is:
*create a base line with custom or not markers and desired size/color/dashed *copy it to the clipboard *Create a "Mark dimension" line, the line become seleced at press button * make a Ctrl+Shift+V to paste clipboard style
Also I add in last commit a taked idea from the next video from mine in the youtube video. The option is a scale option to for "example" measure real map aerial photos.
All the best, Jabier.

I saw the code merge request. Great to see a demonstration of all the cool features.
Is anyone available to do the code review?
