Hi,
I would like to know if there's a chance to incorporate the feature "beveled strokes" into Inkscape sometime in the not-too-distant future. (I'm not sure if SVG supports this, though). Years ago, when I was still using Windows, I had Canvas 7 installed, that had this feature, and I really liked what one can do with that.

Sure; those are basically gradients one can use as strokes, that give the strokes a 3D look. When using Canvas 7, I once drew a bike, and by assigning a beveled stroke to it, I could draw a nice 3D frame with a metallic look. Unfortunately, don't have an example at hand anymore.

The border at the bottom is roughly what I tried to describe, although the borders are not as fuzzy. In Canvas, one can assign, say, gradients that give the border a chromium look, etc. In addition, the gradient "follows" the curve, unlike in Inkscape.
