Does anyone know when Inkscape .46 will be released? Those of us who use it for creating GSD files for out personal cutting machines, are chomping at the bit for the release that fixes our font problem with non-alphabetic font names. Any information will be greatly appreciated.

A release one month from now was proposed but the majority agreed this is too soon and it will have to wait a little (undefined) more, as the time is not enough for a quality release. Another factor in the delay is the Google Summer of Code ending date.
Thanks that thread was extremely helpful. Can any one shed any light on the opening of PDF files? Will this feature be added to the .46 release of inkscape?

Yes. It already works to some extent in SVN version.
