Hi all,
Let's say I use the "Ctrl+Shift+F" shortcut to show the Fill and Stroke Dialog. Wouldn't it make sence that if I press it again the dialog would disappear?
It would make sense to me. I think it is a good principle to utilize a shortcut as a toggle when it is never used for anything else, like the shortcut for opening a dialog in this example. It also ties well in with the toggle principle behind commands like "Full screen" (F11) /JimmyVolatile On Mon, Feb 16, 2009 at 8:15 PM, Plácido Sousa <placidoaps@...155...> wrote:

One other thing:
Is there a shortcut to show/hide *all* dialogs *and* toolbars at the top, main toolbox at the left and the palette at the bottom? (Maybe I can try adding something to the shorcut key file?)
It is often very useful to view the design without any distractions especially when you're showing it to other people or the client.
Best regs,
Jimmy Volatile

+1 (I wish that would also hide the top menu-bar as well. leaving only the canvas, and nothing else, not even the canvas borders.)
BTW, Currently I use F11 for that purpose, but it would be better if we had an extra mode (say Shift+F11) that leaves only the canvas without maximizing the window.
Thanks, Gilaras

It is used for something else: it is used for giving focus to a dialog which is already on but lost focus to the main window. This way you can Tab through controls in the dialog, change some values, and presss Esc to return to the main window, all without using a mouse. If you want to close the dialog, just do dialog shortcut followed by Ctrl+W.
Ok, it makes some sence. never thought of that.
Personally I would preffer using the same shortcut to show/hide dialogs and alt+tab to navigate, but I can live with this solution too.
