I'm trying to recreate a logo (http://users.telenet.be/sacn/logo.png) in vector format. I used the tracing tool for the center image, but for the circle and the surrounding text I started from scratch. But I can't get the text part right.
This is more or less what I did: - Add an (invisible) circle as the baseline for the top text. - Use the "Put on path" tool. - Rotate the circle to the correct angle.
So far no problem. But when I repeat this for the bottom part of the text (and a copy of the circle), the direction of the text is shown in the wrong direction (clockwise like the text on top). I can get the orientation right by flipping the circle horizontally, but now the text is inside the circle. Is there a way to force the text outside of the circle. (Another possibility would be to have the upper text also inside the circle, but I think this is exactly the same problem.)

Just scale the second circle up so that the text inside it matches the top text (i.e. its top is on the same imaginary circle as the bottom of the top text). You may need to increase letterspacing a bit for it to look good.

Put a vertical Kern on it till it lies below the line. Alt+down arrow to do pixel at a time, Shift+Alt+down arrow to do 10 pixels at a time.
Cheers
