Im having a hard time reporting this issue to the Inkscape forum - Can someone do it for me, please?
Testing...one two three...Is this mic working? I’m using Inkscape v.0.91 on Windows 10 64 bit operating system. When one file is open & I import one image onto the canvas no problem, but import a second image into the same file & Inkscape crashes & closes every time. Is this happening to anyone else using Inkscape running on Windows 10 64 bit operating system. Are the Inkscape powers that be aware of this glitch? Please get back to me. Im having a hard time reporting this issue so If you can take it upon yourself & report it for me, I would appreciate it.

JFYI - this is likely one of the known issue with the 64bit packages for Windows tracked (for Inkscape developers/packagers) here:
Bug #1467103 “Crash due to re-registering GdkPixbufGdipAnim during BMP read” https://bugs.launchpad.net/inkscape/+bug/1467103
A workaround (for users) could be to convert the bitmap images to PNG before importing them into Inkscape (or to use the 32bit installer for Inkscape 0.91, which is not affected by this specific issue).

Well, I already tested the 32 bits and get back to the 64 bits since the problem happens all the time with any one of those. Not only importing BMP but with PNG too. The 64 bits version is a little bit more stable than the 32 bits on my Windows 7 64 bits.
I really, really love Inkscape. But this last version is disapointing.

I have a 0.91 Inkscape with a Windows 10 on a relatively slow computer. I tried to import several png and jpg files, and everything is OK.
