Saludos I've got this issue: in the pull down font menu, I can't pick any fonts. The fonts are highlighted, but they're not applied and the pull down menu is not closed, jus as if I've not clicked. Please help.
I still can't pick any font in the fonts' droplist. The only way I get a font applied is thru the XML Editor. Anyone's got a solution?

I don't know if this helps, but I have a bit of the same problem. For me it helps to use the big button with "T" to change font properties and select a font from there.

Hi all,
I was just about to write my first post on this list when I received this email that describes the same problem I have. When I change the font of a piece of text, the text does not change. There is no reponse. Stroke, fill and size of font all work OK however.
Any ideas?

I am on Windows Vista with an Epson3800 printer
Inkscape document properties show the width at 22 x 17 in
When I File->Print I set the printer to Epson3800 then use Preferences to set the paper size to 17 x 22 in and orientation to Landscape.
The printer prints only the upper left 8.5 x 11 in and crops off everything else.
How is it possible to print documents larger than 8.5 x 11 in?
