I installed Inkscape 0.42+devel (Oct 14 2005) autopackage, edited one of my map-drawings and tried to export it to a 590 pixel wide bitmap but some fill and line-color settigs seems to change during export. Problem disappears with wider exports (750 pixels wide export looks just fine). What might be a problem?

Actually it's the 590px export which is correct, while the 750px one is broken. It's another instance of the missing stroke bug:

The lakes are one very complex paths, and at some zooms this paths loses its stroke. If you don't need the stroke, select the lakes object and assign no stroke to it (it will also make it display much faster). Then it will look correct at all zooms.
