Hi,
I have started writing a book on using Inkscape. It is in what I would call pre-alpha stage. The structure and format will certainly change and much is missing. Even so, it might be of use to someone. You can have a look at

Constructive comments are appreciated.
if I may add my 2 cents, I would recommend to change
Explanation of Vector Graphics vs. Bitmap or Raster Graphics
to
Explanation of Vector Graphics vs. Bitmap Graphics
because I personally find the term "Raster Graphics" as synonymous for Bitmap Graphics somewhat misleading. To me "Raster Graphics" are Bitmap Graphics rasterized & with CYMK separation.

With the new text changes, is there a way to insert bullets?
Thanks for all the questions and comments.
About bitmap/raster graphics. It seems that there isn't a consensus on the exact meaning of these terms:
http://dictionary.reference.com/search?q=bitmap http://dictionary.reference.com/search?q=raster%20graphics http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bitmap
I will have to think about what exactly to use. The important thing is to distinguish them from vector graphics.
I am seeking a publisher for the book. Where I could use help is in noting mistakes and in flagging things that are confusing.
It seems that gFTP failed to copy some of the figures, (somewhat randomly). I have fixed that.

I suggest you make an example with a scaled image. Then people will readily see the difference without many words :-)

Maybe you transferred the files in ASCII mode? For (non-SVG-)images, use binary mode.
