hi, i've been following the thread about inkscape running slow. there was something that the poster said that triggered this email. it had to do with a dialog box going blank.

that's the problem i have with the external devices. first inkscape said there was no external devices. i reset the external devices to normal, reset the settings on my tablet and rebooted the machine (w2kSP4,786mb ram,pIII 450mhz processor - and yes it runs the program ;^) - with a serial wacom gd (#1) tablet). when i opened the external device dialog box the wacom puck shows the settings, but when i try to look at the stylus and eraser settings, the box settings disappear and it seems that the function locks up except for being able to exit. i don't remember this being a problem in 0.44.

any ideas? oh yeah, it happens in gimp too.
