Hi
I'm new to translating work in general and for Inkscape in particular. I intend to start translation to Swedish but I am not sure how it works.
Are there more people working on the Swedish translatino currently? If so, am I supposed to cooperate so that we can divide work between us or should I just go ahead and translate?
Some advice would be great :-)

Hi Freemem,
please see https://inkscape.org/contribute/translations/ for info about how to get started and where to ask.
To find out whether someone else has been working on a Swedish translation file, you can also check that file's history.
E.g. for the Inkscape 1.0.x Swedish interface translation file: https://gitlab.com/inkscape/inkscape/-/commits/1.0.x/po/sv.po
It looks as if the last translator that worked on the file was Joshua Simmons in April 2019, and before that, Oscar Gustafsson in April 2018.
So the file looks pretty neglected. I don't know of any other current Swedish translators, but you can ask on the translators' mailing list.

Hi Freemem I'm Swedish speaking but haven't been active in a few years. If you have any questions just send me an email.
