Re: [Inkscape-user] Volunteers needed: 0.91 Release Marketing
If I know of a place that could receive an announcement, that's not on any of the lists on that wiki page, how do I put it on the list? I do have edit permission on the wiki, but I'm just not sure if I should add a new site myself.
(I'm thinking of Full Circle Magazine http://fullcirclemagazine.org/ where 1 of InkscapeForum.com's members writes an ongoing series of tutorials -- a new one every month!)

Please feel free to post the actual release announcement on any forums you think it'd be appropriate on.
Also, please mark any place you post it on to our announcements page, so we'll remember to post to that place in the future too.

Hi all,
As the developers put the final touches on the 0.91 release, it's high time to plan a media blitz to get this announced to all our users.
I'd like to recruit and organize a formal team to do marketing for Inkscape. This'll involve writing copy, planning announce strategies, notifying news sites, coordinating with parallel fundraising efforts, and more. We'll be organizing an online IRC meeting soon to coordinate these activities. Sound like fun?
Ryan Lerch, Josh Andler, and myself are already signed on; we've been through the release announcement process before so we're old hands. But we're looking for new ideas and fresh blood, so that we can go beyond what we've achieved in the past.

P.S. Inkscape's past marketing teams have left us a wealth of notes we can use to build from. Two items in particular:

I am that member. I've forwarded the URL of the release announcement to the editor of FCM.
