Re: [Inkscape-user] How to make shadows with inkscape?
Hi peoplw,
I found this old message from Hadmut and I need to reproduce his effect. I can't blur the object. I can't find any "blur" command in my italian version. Can you explain me in a more detailed way ?
Many thanks,
Ro.

Hi,
how would I create an object with a shadow with inkscape?
I have attached an example. It is a stripped down SVG file taken from http://www.germane-software.com/software/SVG/SVG::Graph/ which uses a ruby library to generate charts (including pie charts with shadows) in SVG.
Basically, the shadow is just a translated copy of the main object, black, and blurred.
Any chance to generate such a shadow in inkscape?

If you're using 0.45[-1], you will find it directly in the Fill and Stroke window... You'll notice TWO (2) sliders, one for Blur and one for opacity... Hope that helps ;)
