Problem displaying unicode characters from eps file.
Inkscape 0.46 Linux Ubuntu
I have prepared a diagram using unicode characters (Greek). When I save this diagram as eps, Inkscape displays the correct Greek characters. However, when I import the eps file into non-Inkscape documents, or just display the file with an application other than Inkscape, the characters display as English characters. For example, Delta displays as r4 and lambda displays as w. Can someone tell me how to fix this problem? regards, Roger

You should convert the unicode characters to paths. select the characters and choose Path -> Object to path
or shift-ctrl-C
or use the node tool and click the button that looks like a figure 8 with 3 nodes highlighted (convert selected option to path)
cheers Donna
Many thanks Donna, Problem solved. Regards Roger
