resizing text box without resizing text
I figured out how to do this last week, now I can't change the text box without transforming the text. Would someone remind me.

Use the text tool, not the select/transform too. Size control is the diamond on the bottom right.

Yes. Now I can see the problem. Other text boxes display this diamond but the one that I'm trying to modify doesn't.
How do I tell if it has been converted to something which is not text and can I change it back?

Select it and read what the statusbar says.

Depends on what it is. If it's converted to path, you can't convert it back other than by undo.

i don't think you can do that right now... the thing is these two types of text are very different from a svg point of view. (you'll understand if you check out the xml). the easiest thing is to recreate the text. but in case you do find a way, please tell me ;)

Yes. I could copy the text and create a new text frame.
thanks
