All good ideas. I've seeded proposal pages for each of these three ideas in the board docs, as I think they're pretty close.

All three will require a "voting statement" made before we can vote (basically, turn the premise into a Yes/No question), as well as specifying any particulars like (estimated) costs, procedures, etc.
Tav, would you mind drafting up the three items above? I think you can commit directly to the board-docs bzr tree, if not let me know. I'll be available for proof-reading and copyediting as well.
Once they're ready, let me know and I'll run a vote.
I'll get to these soon. There is an SVG face-to-face meeting starting today that I need to prepare some things for. (I am not at the meeting so its more urgent that I get the stuff prepared on the web as there will be some discussions that will impact Inkscape... like a crazy proposal to remove the <symbol> element.)
