This vote has passed, and next step is for me to post the resolution for it, so people can start making travel arrangements.
However, I'm extremely concerned about even suggesting *anyone* to be traveling right now.
I have been checking back regularly with the LGM website to see if they are canceling the event, but not so far. I don't rule out though that the event will become canceled at some point, regardless of what we decide. Even if it isn't, there are many countries with very strong travel restrictions (and likely more to come), that will inhibit our travelers.
Given this, I'd appreciate some additional board guidance before finalizing this vote. Please tell me, what do you think?

It's the far end of May, but even still that's only going to be the start of a wind down of restrictions. I reckon it's going to be canceled. Either way I know I can't go now.
But doing an online event would be good too.

We may have to scrap this vote for now. Although even if we pass it, it wouldn't harm us at all. The only issue would be sowing confusion about if the even is going on.
People who can actually go should have more weight though.

Does anyone disagree with scrapping the vote?
If not, I agree making this an online event would make far more sense. Or even just rolling any time availibility into the general 1.0 effort.

LGM's website now includes a statement:
Due to the current epidemic situation, we are still not sure if the LGM will happen physically this year. We are following carefully the evolution, and will take a decision by the end of April.
We will let you know as soon as a decision is taken, please be patient.
My (semi-educated?) guess is it has a high potential of getting canceled. If it doesn't, getting flights arranged might be problematic for various reasons. Given this, I think we should table the vote for the time being. If LGM decides to go ahead, the vote can be untabled and finalized.
I think as an organization given current circumstances, we should not encourage or expect travel in the near to mid-term, however if there are individual circumstances that could benefit we can definitely consider them on a case-by-case basis.
Bryce
Their website says they will decide by the end of April if it will be help by the end of May... For me in Paris, this is enough time in advance to make plans (so I will probably go if it happens), but it would be too late for plane travelers.
The travel ban is scheduled to be lifted early May in France, but right now I would not encourage anyone to plan a travel, so I'm fine with scrapping the vote
