Cannot we just use a pop-down list, as now, but with submenus?
I don't think it is possible to add submenu's to a combobox which we
use now. Note that now, you have to select an effect, and then
press "add". What I was proposing is an "Add..." button that spawns
a menu like the ">>" button on the toolbar does (when not all icons
fit on it) and adding the effect when clicking on it. So instead of
first selecting, then adding; do them at once.
