As a professional technical writer I can tell you that it's not the
best argument :)))

At least it shows that it's not just a carbon copy. I guess the better
argument would be all the input OASIS got from Corel, KDE, several
individuals, as well as the European Comission. There have been several
changes to the format. It's not "99% the same".
However, if the specs of OASIS OpenDocument are available, I would
appreciate an URL. The only reason Scribus doesn't support importing
files in OpenDocument format is no specs available to read.
