Yes, we've discussed this subject in the Answer pages (https://answers.edge.launchpad.net/inkscape/+question/108536). This extension looks very promising, but needs some work. It now show in the extension menu, and should be converted to output extension (and show in the Save as menu). And it needs some UI tweak and, according to its author, some internal improvements.
