I believe GTK has officially ended support for Win95/98, which
indicates
this would be highly unlikely.
I'm not quite sure of that.
Last I'd heard from them, there was just a lack of bodies to chase
down the bugs. (this from talking to Tor at LGM and also following up
in various IRC rooms)
