[Inkscape-docs] How to help

I posted a couple of messages to the dev list, but didn't get much of a response. Can someone tell me where I can begin to help working on documentation? I know it's not always pleasant working with a noob, but I learn quickly and can be a lot of help if you point me in the right direction :) I'm willing to work on anything, wherever I'm needed most.
