Meaning of LPE - Live Path Effects
Hi there, today, while translating several sentences related to LPE, I ran into an issue that I had overlooked before. I have been translating "Live Path Effects" as something like "Effects for paths that are (a)live", but when using this in plural (in Spanish) it didn't make sense, so I wonder; what is "live" in these effects; the "path", or the "effect"? Neither the manuals https://inkscape-manuals.readthedocs.io/en/latest/live-path-effects.html, nor Tavmjong's book http://tavmjong.free.fr/INKSCAPE/MANUAL/html/Paths-LivePathEffects.html made me none the wiser
Who can shed some light on this conundrum?

It's an effect that updates in real time without modifying the original object. So "live" is about the effect.

Hi Lucas,
it's the path effect that can be adjusted 'live' (as in 'live concert'). So we have this 'nesting' here:
effect -> path effect (effect for a path) -> live path effect (adjustable effect for a path)

In this context its the effects that are "live" rather than the paths themselves, I think.
���I'd also say that "live" probably leans more towards more "en vivo" like a TV broadcast, than "alive" as opposed to "dead", because the path effects can be adjusted dynamically, rather that be applied to an object and become static.

Thank you all for your answers. @Duarte, I did see some strings where I had already used "en vivo", so I'm going to review the rest of the strings and see how to standardize the naming of this feature.
