The submission period for the contest has concluded. Now it is time for the community voting. To find out more and to cast your votes, please visit the following link: http://inkscapers.deviantart.com/journal/16298574/
We will count votes from the mailing list for people who do not have DA accounts, as we did last time. However, if you have a DA account or wouldn't mind signing up for one, it will make things much easier when it comes to tally time.
Should we base our vote purely on aesthetics or should we take the inclusion of new features into account? The guidelines of the contest clearly stated that: "It must use SVG filters and/or Live Path Effects. We also recommend you explore the 3D box tool and the tweak tool (as well as the "engravers toolbox" via the calligraphy tool)."
Given that I think that we should: 1- disqualify (politely) those which did not use the requires ones (SVG filters and/or Live Path Effects) 2a- give bonus points to those which used several of these features and/or 2b- put a mention of those in the voting entry text and clearly state that the inclusion of such features should be valued in the rating (maybe add a note next to each entry about which of those features are included)
What do people think?
